Student Radio has been an access group at Radio Adelaide since 1975 making it the longest running Student Radio program in Australia. Adelaide University Student Radio is the only student radio access group (in South Australia) to survive in the post-VSU climate, with 6 hours of on-air time per week in 2008 compared to 12 in 2006. Thus, competition for airtime has become fierce.
