Services & Assistance
The AUU provides a huge range of services for you. Ranging from welfare and employment, to student representation to activities on the lawns and in the bar. Almost every aspect of campus life and culture is run by the AUU, and is essentially controlled by you, the student.
Some of the services provided by the AUU include:
Employment Service
For employment assistance and advice. Looking for part time work? This is an established service providing advice on resume construction, industrial relations, how to find a job in Adelaide and much more. The primary function is an on-line employment database featuring vacancies tailored to student needs.
Student Care Office (EWOs)
Need financial, tax or legal assistance, help with Centrelink, advocacy, in a dispute or complaint or help with a personal or acedemic problem? Speak to the Education & Welfare Officers (EWOs) for professional and confidential advice and support.
Sports Hub Fitness Centre
Need to get fit? Check out the Sports Fitness Hub for weights, aerobics and machines. If you want to represent your University at an Australian Universities Games or Championship contact the Sports Association for all you need to know and to received the most up to date list of clubs.
The Student Lounge
Need a place to study that isn’t the library? Individual booths, comfy couches, plenty of coffee you’ll find the Student Lounge upstairs, above the Union Bookshop Café!
UniBooks
Have to get some textbooks? Then check out UniBooks, offering students great discounts throughout the year in their brand new home from 2005 located on the ground floor of Union House.
Legal Service
A community Lawyer Provides FREE initial consultation and advice on-campus during term-time. The service deals with common student legal issues (tenancy, credit, traffic and vehicle, employment, family, etc).

Lockers
The AUU provides access to Locker hire for students for the year. There are four different areas around the Union that are available to hire. For prices, availability, or more information, please contact Union Information on 8303 5401.
Bike Shed
The Bike Shed access is available per semester for students of the University. There are two bike sheds available for hire, one off the Barr Smith Lawns, and the other outside the Horace Lamb Building. For prices, availability or more information, please contact Union Information on 8303 5401.
Dry Cleaning Service
A dry cleaning service is provided by the AUU for both Staff and Students of the University. Garments are to be dropped off at Union Information, where they will be sent out to be dry cleaned by United Dry Cleaners. If the garment is dropped off before 10am each day, most of the time it is returned before 12noon the next day. For prices, or more information, please contact Union Information on 8303 5401.
VenueTix
There is now a VenueTix outlet located at the University of Adelaide. This service is proudly provided by the AUU, and is located at the Student Hub - Level 4 Union House.
