The University of Adelaide, and Homeaway 2 management, do not accept responsibility for any valuable items which may be lost, damaged or stolen from your bedroom or within the complex.

Never leave valuable items including watches, jewellery, passports, airline tickets or currency out for others to see. Valuable items that are not required on a daily basis should be placed in a secure deposit box available from your local bank.

Residents are encouraged to take out an individual household goods insurance policy.

  • Visitors

Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight under any circumstances and must be out of the facility by 10pm.

Any student who fails to comply with the Visitors policy will be reported to the University of Adelaide Accommodation Service and may face eviction from the facility.

  • Welfare Monitoring

Welfare monitoring services are provided to all students by the International Student Centre.

Students will be contacted by their welfare monitor within two business days of arriving in Adelaide.

Fortnightly appointments will be scheduled for students and their welfare monitor at the International Student Centre on North Terrace campus.

Students are required to attend each meeting to alleviate the need for the International Student Centre to contact parents.

It is important to understand that the discussions had at each of these meetings will be documented in a monthly report, prepared by the welfare monitor and sent to parents.

The report will also have information pertaining to residents conduct within the approved accommodation and the results of their monthly room inspection.

The After Hours University Welfare Monitoring contact number is 0414 391 568. Residents are encouraged to program this number into their mobile phones for easy and quick access.
