I have lived in the Village for four years (my entire degree) and I have to say that it by far the best decision I made since I came to Adelaide. From its location near the city centre providing easy access to daily essentials and recreational activates, to the facilities provided such as being able to access university files and study rooms the convenience of living in the Village has been a large factor in reducing my workload while at the University. Finally the staff at the Village are definitely some of the nicest and most helpful people I have met in Adelaide and settling into a new country was made effortless because of their patience and help.

My stay at The Village has been most memorable. I feel very comfortable here, such that 2011 marks my fourth consecutive year at The Village. By getting to know students of different nationalities and cultures, it has provided me the opportunity to develop my communication and social skills. The comfortable and secured setting of The Village has been most conducive for me to focus and progress well with my studies. The good facilities and friendly staff, together with its strategic location being close to Chinatown make The Village a superb accommodation to live in.

I have been staying at the Village for 5 years, and what I can say is: the experience is wonderful! The Village provided an excellent accommodation service and offered a good environment for me and other students to study and learn how to socialise with students from different countries. I met alot of great international students in the Village that expanded my friendship circle. I have sweet and unforgettable memories staying at the Village.

I stayed in The Village in my first year and it has been one of the great experiences that I have in Adelaide! Friendly staff and well-equipped infrastructure are just what I needed when I first got there. The multicultural residents also helped me to broaden my view and interaction as an international student. The Village- in my perspective, was in a way a mini United Nations group whereby we had numerous students from various countries, all over the world. Apart from the excellent hospitality management and public relations from the staff and security officers, there were numerous occasions where residents had ample opportunity to showcase their talents (such as culinary, athletic events, planning trips etc) as well as to meet fellow residents, to mingle and make themselves feel comfortable as to being close to their homes. Particularly, apart from being a participant of events, I've had more than a fair share of memories from the village, such as writing for the newsletter, demonstrating culinary events, sharing experiences in talks etc. The clean living environment and the safe open space has been condusive to study, interact and relax, which has been instrumental in enabling me to have a holistic student life experience in being a graduate from the University of Adelaide. I'm glad to have been an Alumni Villager of the University Accommodation. Keep up the good work.
