This program produces professionally trained personnel for the grape and wine industries.

Career options for Viticultural Science majors include winegrape production and related viticultural enterprises, horticultural industries and service industries. Oenology majors generally work in research or production in winemaking, and a few work in brewing, cider or spirit industries. Depending on their level of experience, graduates can gain positions in which they are responsible for vintage and post vintage production of various wine types and the production of grape and wine products.
