Animal Production
There is real science in raising animals for food production. These days the markets are very specific in their requirements. Preferences can change so working in animal production means knowing about consumers as well as about animal health and sustainable environmental management. The industry understands that to achieve a good product, whether it’s eggs, wool or meat, animals must be in top condition and the environment should be too.

Jobs – what and where?
Jobs in production and research offer opportunities to work with animals and technology in developing new techniques for management and animal health. These jobs are often with industry groups or government research departments. Basic qualifications in agricultural science could also lead to higher degrees in related fields such as biotechnological research or veterinary studies.
