Did you know that our University has over 130,000 alumni in 134 countries? Last month we were fortunate to travel to Singapore and Malaysia to meet with our valued alumni and share their journey since graduation. We look forward to working with these important alumni networks, welcoming new graduates and building their valuable connections to each other and the University.

Research Tuesdays: 3 Minute Thesis Finals

A University of Adelaide thesis project explained in just three minutes, using only one PowerPoint slide? That’s the challenge ten of our research students will tackle in the national 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. At this special Research Tuesdays event our students develop their communication skills and share their amazing research, while our audience gets to hear from our future research stars. The event will be held on Tuesday 12 September, 5:30pm in the Braggs Lecture Theatre.

South Australian Universities Alumni Europe Network

Should Australia have a space agency? How do we keep people healthy when travelling in space? Will we ever send someone to Mars? These were some of the challenging questions tackled at a packed out event in London in July, hosted by the South Australian Universities Alumni Europe Network. The network represents the University of Adelaide alumni across Europe and regularly hosts alumni events such as wine tastings, quiz nights, workshops and speaking events.

They provide a link with South Australia, acting as a resource for alumni to help form strong, supportive professional and social networks. Stay in touch with the network on Facebook and LinkedIn

Changing lives through scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of the Taplin Indigenous Bursary Fund PhD candidate, Yvonne Clark, was able to attend an international psychology conference in Paris. Alumni & Titleholders Event

On Friday July 21, over 140 Alumni and Titleholders from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences attended the annual Thank You event.

Following the success of the inaugural event in 2016 this year’s event was held at the new Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building. With the seats retracted in the main lecture theatre, the red carpet was rolled out for some of the Faculty's most important stakeholders. Read more here.
