Official name announced for University of Adelaide Online Community

We are very pleased to announce the official name of our Online Community – Adelaide onLION.

The inspiration behind the name is the Bonython Hall lion, an icon of the University’s tradition and 134-year heritage. Together with the name Adelaide onLION, the lion graphic will be a unique identifying symbol, giving the community a distinctive look and instant familiarity.

Early in the implementation process, it was determined that our Online Community required a name that remained consistent with the strong branding of the University, but would give the Community its own identity.

The announcement of the name is one of many milestones outlined in the implementation communications plan. As we countdown to the launch of this new and exciting way of engaging alumni, you can keep in touch with the latest information and project status at www.adelaide.edu.au/alumni/community/project.html
