This web page is a central point of information for students enrolled in the Professional Certificate in Arbitration and contains useful links to online services, details of enrolment and amendment to enrolment procedures and critical dates.
Online Services
As a student of the University of Adelaide, you will be required to access the following online services at some point throughout the year. It is an expectation of all students to have a reasonable level of computer skills to enable them to successfully complete their course of study.
Access Adelaide is a web-based system that allows students to view and amend their University record on-line. You can log on from any computer with Internet access, using your username and password which is provided on enrolment. Students will be required to use Access Adelaide to:
1. complete the online enrolment process 2. view and amend enrolment details
3. view and amend personal details (including name, address and telephone
numbers)
4. apply to graduate
Important Note on Graduations:
All students who successfully complete the Professional Certificate will be required to apply to graduate online via Access Adelaide. The Graduations Office will notify students of their eligibility or ineligibility to graduate
ONLY via Access Adelaide. ONLY confirmation of your eligibility to graduate
on Access Adelaide will mean inclusion in the graduation ceremonies. When you log onto Access Adelaide, select “Graduations” from the left-hand side list of options and follow the prompts.

As a student of the University of Adelaide, you will be provided with an email service as a reliable means of electronic communication with academic and administrative staff, as well as your fellow students. Access is obtained by a username and password which is provided on enrolment.

MyUni is the University of Adelaide's online learning environment. All students enrolled in the Professional Certificate have access to this system which is obtained by a username and password provided on enrolment. A detailed set of instructions for using this system is included in your student package.

Critical Dates
General Course
Length of Course: Tuesday 4 March 2008 to Tuesday 10 June 2008
Mid-Semester break: Monday 14 April to Friday 25 April 2008
One-day compulsory workshop held on Saturday 31 May 2008 (online students attend a worksohp on Friday 30 May 2008)
2-hour open book exam held on Saturday 14 June 2008
Applications close on Monday 11 February 2008.
The Census Date is 31 March 2008.
The date a student withdraws may affect their academic transcript. Below are the critical dates for the General Course and the effect on the student’s record.
- Friday 31 March 2008 – enrolment is deleted and no result is entered on the student’s record
- Friday 9 May 2008 – “Withdraw Not Fail” (WNF) is recorded on the student’s record
- Friday 6 June 2008 – “Withdraw Fail” (WF) is recorded on the student’s record
Advanced Course
Length of Course: Tuesday 29 July to 28 October 2008
One-day compulsory workshop held on Saturday 20 September 2008 (online students attend a workshop on Friday 19 September 2008)
Mid-Semester break: Monday 22 September to Friday 3 October 2008
3-hour exam held on Saturday 1 November 2008
Applications close on Friday 27 June 2008.
The Census Date is Thursday 31 August 2008.
The date a student withdraws may affect their academic transcript. Below are the critical dates for the Advanced Course and the effect on the student's record.
Please note that these dates are set by the University of Adelaide and cannot be influenced by PCE.
- Thursday 31 August 2008 – enrolment is deleted and no result is entered on the student’s record
- Friday 19 September 2008 – “Withdraw Not Fail” (WNF) is recorded on the student’s record
- Friday 31 October 2008 – “Withdraw Fail” (WF) is recorded on the student’s record
Amendment to Enrolment
If you wish to withdraw from your course, you will need to do this via Access Adelaide.
Students in the Professional Certificate of Arbitration are required to observe the relevant academic dates set by the University (ie, withdrawal and amendment dates). These critical dates are stated above.
Workshop Dates
Workshop attendance is compulsory for all students in both General and Advanced courses. Face to face students will attend the workshops at the course location in their capital city. Online students will be advised of the location of workshops closer to the date.
The General course one-day workshop will be held on Saturday 31 May 2008. Online students must also attend a workshop on Friday 30 May 2008.
The Advanced course one-day workshop will be held on Saturday 20 September 2008. Online students must also attend a workshop on Friday 19 September 2008.
