Perinatal Mental Health
As a member of the beyondblue's Guideline Expert Advisory Committee, Philippa Middleton helped to develop their perinatal mental health guidelines ‘Clinical practice guidelines for depression and related disorders (anxiety, bipolar disorder and puerperal psychosis) in the perinatal period' were endorsed by NHMRC in early 2011. These guidelines are intended for health professionals providing care in the perinatal period and are being implemented throughout Australia as an integral part of the Australian National Perinatal Depression Initiative (www.beyondblue.org.au).
