The Research Branch provides reliable high quality advice and support to University researchers and their sponsors, as well as contributing to the development of a University environment that facilitates and recognises high quality research.

Key functions:

• Promotion, management and administration of competitive research funding opportunities
• Research strategy and development at the individual, departmental, school, faculty and institutional levels
• Ensuring that the University and Researchers meet sponsor compliance and reporting obligations
• Understanding, supporting and promoting the University's research capacity
• Research policy development and implementation
• Representing and supporting the University's research interests, internally and externally
• Sponsor liaison and input
