The Academic Women's Forum and the Fay Gale Centre for Research on Gender are hosting an information session about the Barbara Kidman Women's Fellowship Scheme 2015.
This is a University of Adelaide initiative designed to support female academics to enhance and promote their career, in particular those staff members whose research momentum has been interrupted by caring responsibilities. The Guidelines, Application Form, Head of School Acknowledgement Form and a set of FAGs are available on the Research Branch website: http://www.adelaide.edu.au/rb/funding-opportunities/internal/
The closing date for applications is 13th October 2014.
You are invited to attend a session that will provide a background to the Fellowship and advice on how to construct your application from successful 2014 applicants and senior academics who have been involved in the guideline development and selection processes.

Strategies for developing grant applications
Co-hosted with the Fay Gale Centre for Research on Gender.
This event is designed to share knowledge gained through the grant application process, drawing on a range of experiences - from individuals who have never prepared an application before, to those who are familiar with the process but, as always, are honing that competitive edge.
Topics to be covered include: pitching your project and its significance; presenting track records, traps for new applicants; what professional grant application 'polishers' do; crafting a rejoinder; salvaging the time expended.
The event will have a panel format so that there is plenty of time for questions and discussion.
When: Tuesday 20th May
Where: Eclipse Room, Level 4, Union Building
Please rsvp to Renae Fernandez by 16th May. firstname.lastname@example.org
