Bioinformatics Seminar Series: Tuesday 13th September
Speaker: A/Prof Torsten Seemann, Lead Bioinformatician, VLSCI
Location: Level 5 Seminar Room, Molecular Life Sciences Building
As well as being a high-profile bioinformatician on Twitter, A/Prof Seemann was the Scientific Director for the Victorian Bioinformatics Consortium from 2009-2015. He is currently the Lead Bioinformatician for the Victorian Life Sciences Computational Initiative (VLSCI) and has a wealth of experience in cancer research, clinical genomics and microbiology.
Bioinfosummer 2016: 28 November - 2 December
This national symposium in Bioinformatics will be held at the University of Adelaide from 28 November – 2 December 2016. Days will be a combination of workshops, and presentations from invited speakers such as Simon Anders (HTSeq, DESeq2), Gordon Smyth (edgeR, limma), Kat Pillman (Centre for Cancer Biology), Steve Turner (Pacific Biosciences) and Xia Wang (UCLA).
