ANSYS FEA Training

The ANSYS FEA Training session provides an introduction to the ANSYS Workbench software for finite element analysis (FEA).

ANSYS FEA Training. CaRST Credit 21 hours. A: Knowledge and Intellectual Abilities Face to Face.

The training requires no previous knowledge of ANSYS software, but assumes some knowledge of basic engineering principles (e.g. stress, strain, heat transfer). On completion students should be able to create and solve linear, nonlinear, dynamic and thermal models.

The sessions will be run over 3 days, and will cover:

  • Using ANSYS SpaceClaim for geometry generation, or importation
  • Meshing geometries for numerical analyses
  • Linear structural analyses
  • Dynamic analysis
  • Thermal analysis
  • Non-linear analyses
