Secured Printing
The Canon printers in CATS offer a secured printing option. The job is sent to the printer and held until you release it with a password.
It is important to note that once you select print from the computer you are charged for the job, not when you release it to print with your password. The hold time for a secured print request is 6 hours; after that the job is removed from the printer.
From the Printer Properties dialog select Secured Print.
When you finally press the print button the following will appear.
Enter a password – you create this.
Follow the normal printing confirmation dialog.
When you are ready go to the printer. If the touch screen is not on you will need to activate it.
Select System Monitor.
Select Print and select your job(s) – when secured they will appear with a padlock icon next to them.
Select Secured Print.
Enter the password you selected in Step 3 and press OK to continue printing.
