Printing Transparencies & Other Media

This advice refers to the Canon printers located in Engineering South, both black and white and colour. For printing transparencies you will need to supply the media; the printers do not stock transparencies.

Note: The media you use must be compatible with laser printers. You will be responsible for any damage if you do not use the correct media. Please check with CATS Staff if you are unsure of the compatibility of your media.

Select Properties from the Print Dialog.

      Print window

Select Stack Bypass from the Paper Source section.

Paper Source tab, Print Properties window

    Print the job.

Place the media in the Bypass Tray (highlighted in green/turquoise from above screenshot).

Go to the Print Station in the print room and release the job.

If the touch screens are off you will need to switch them on.

If you have placed the media in the tray the following will appear. Make sure the paper size is correct and select Next >

Now select the media type, e.g. transparency. Note: transparencies will take some to process as the printer cools down before printing. Select OK.
