Support Hours & Location
Please be aware of the different supporting times for normal teaching times and semester break. Staff present outside these hours may give support on a voluntary basis.
- Normal teaching times : 9am - 5pm (excluding weekends and public holidays)
- Semester break : TBA
Types of Assistance
CATS Office Staff are on hand to help you with:
- setting up wireless on students' personal laptops
- setting up webmail/uni Gmail account on Microsoft Outlook on personal laptop/ handheld device (where applicable)
- printers faults - e.g paper jam, topping up paper/toners, errors on printers
- Miscellaneous stationery faults - e.g stapler jam, binder malfunction
- PC hardware malfunction issues - e.g mouse not working, machine will not boot, blue screen error
- software license server fallen over issues - casuing software not able to launch
- student account lock out error
- general usage
*We cannot provide guidance in using the applications, but limited assistance is available for some of the more common applications - e.g Microsoft Word & Excel. Enquiries regarding specialised software should be directed to your Lecturer or Tutor
