Known Bugs
There are issues with some actions and applications in CATS including logging in, printing, Microsoft Office, and PDFs in MyUni.
Logging In

| Windows Message: 'Cannot load Profile...'. | Reboot the computer: Ctrl-Alt-Del > Shutdown > Shutdown and Restart. |

Printing
There are four common printing problems and their solutions.

| Your balance has reached the credit limit. | You only have a certain quota allocated for printing from University networked computers, you will need to go to University Contact Centre to top up your printing credit. More information on student printing. |
| Your system has lost contact with the printers. | If your system has lost contact with the printers you will get the add printer menu when you try to print. Shut down the PC (not a simple reboot) and restart from 'cold'. |
| Printing problems resulting in a 'Stack Bypass' error on the printer. The most common mistake is to select Letter (American) size for documents. | Incorrect paper sizes selected at the documant stage may cause this. Select A4 at the printer control panel when this occurs. |
| Your job is too complicated for the Plotter and your output is corrupted (usually applies to posters). | Try:

Microsoft Office
All MS Office documents require approximately three times the disk space of the actual file size. As they become large and complicated (with many inserted pictures/speadsheets/auto-indexing etc) they tend to corrupt, especially if there is not enough free disk space. Make sure you make a backup before you start work. With Excel documents ensure that you don’t delete links to data sources.

| Error “Disk Full" (or similar). | Make sure that the disk U:\ is not full. Try saving to D:\temp. If this fails use select all->copy in your current document open a new instance of Word paste the document into your "new" Word and save it. |
