Project details

The Damara Orogen comprises regions of transpression and regions of convergence during Pan-African orogenesis. Transpression is best expressed within the Kaoko Belt in the western Damara, while orthogonal convergence is deveoped most strongly within the Inland branch of the orogen and accommodates convergence between the Kalahari and Congo Cratons.

Both styles of orogenesis within the orogen have been studied. Follow the links below to find out more information.
