What do we do?
The Children's Research Centre undertakes four core activities:
- We carry out world-class research in the Women's and Children's Hospital and in the community to prevent and reverse chronic childhood disorders before they manifest as permanent adult disease.
- We collaborate with the state and federal governments to ensure our research findings are translated into improved health policy and practice for the community.
- We actively seek research partnerships with child health experts in Australia and overseas to progress large-scale breakthroughs in child health.
- We foster an outstanding training environment for the future leaders of child health, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, early career researchers, and postdoctoral fellows.
