What do we do?

The Children's Research Centre undertakes four core activities:

  1. We carry out world-class research in the Women's and Children's Hospital and in the community to prevent and reverse chronic childhood disorders before they manifest as permanent adult disease.
  2. We collaborate with the state and federal governments to ensure our research findings are translated into improved health policy and practice for the community.
  3. We actively seek research partnerships with child health experts in Australia and overseas to progress large-scale breakthroughs in child health.
  4. We foster an outstanding training environment for the future leaders of child health, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, early career researchers, and postdoctoral fellows.

Meet our kids
