International Journal of Managerial Finance Award (IJMF Award)

The AHRC12 Conference Organising Committee is pleased to announce that the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Managerial Finance and Emerald Group Publishing Limited are sponsoring an Award at the AHRC12 for best conference paper presented at the AHRC12 on the topic of housing economics/housing finance.

Winner of the IJMF Award:

Peter Rossini & Valerie Kupke 

for their paper titled: "Testing the relationship of house and land prices over time"

The recipient of this Award received a $500 prize and their paper will be considered for a forthcoming special issue of the International Journal of Managerial Finance on housing and real estate matters. This special issue is scheduled for publication in 2012 and further information about this edition of the Journal will be provided in due course. (Please note the Journal is also accepting papers for this edition).

The IJMF Award was introduced and presented by Professor Ralf Zurbruegg - Deputy Head, The University of Adelaide Business School at the AHRC12 Conference dinner on Thursday 9th February 2012.

Eligibility for the IJMF Award

  • Acceptance of abstract and presentation of a paper on the topic of housing economics/housing finance at the AHRC12.
  • Submission of FULL PAPER on housing economics/housing finance to the AHRC12 Conference Organising Committee by 31 JANUARY 2012.
  • Submission of FULL PAPER to ahrc12@adelaide.edu.au and in accordance with the requirements for papers as outlined on the AHRC12 website: www.adelaide.edu.au/churp/ahrc12
  • Papers can be sole or joint authored and must not have been published elsewhere or under review with other publication outlets.

IMJF Award applicants must also register for the AHRC12 by 30 DECEMBER 2011 and attend and present at the AHRC12 in Adelaide.

IJMF Award selection process

Authors of eligible papers will be contacted by the AHCR12 Conference Organising committee in late November 2011 and asked to consider applying for the IJMF Award. Only authors who have had an abstract accepted for the AHRC12 and whose paper is on the topic of housing economics or housing finance will be contacted.

All FULL PAPERS received by the AHRC12 Conference Organising Committee by the due date for papers for the IJMF Award (31 JANUARY 2012) will be reviewed and assessed by the IJMF Award committee (comprising a member(s) of the AHRC12 Conference Organising Committee and representative(s) of the editorial board of the IJMF). A short list of 5 papers will be determined from the review/assessment process based on fit with the objectives of the IJMF. A final winner of the Award will be selected from this shortlist.

The IJMF Award will be presented at the AHRC12 Conference dinner on Thursday 9th February at Ayres House.
