Dr Jackie Venning

Jackie contributes to the development of research programs addressing mitigation of climate change and developing adaptive responses to the anticipated impacts of climate change. She is involved in the development of post-graduate courses and programs that promote greater awareness and understanding of climate change and sustainability issues.

She has extensive experience in policy and strategic advice, and monitoring and reporting in environment and natural resource management agencies. In particular she has expertise in the development and implementation of planning and accountability frameworks and tools to guide decision making for sustainability.

She has recently been appointed as an Australian expert to the International Working Group on Social Responsibility developing the ISO 26000 guidance standard.
