The Very Rev'd Dr Steven OgdenDean Dr Steven Ogden has been Dean of St Peter’s Cathedral since 2000. He has an academic background and has taught at Flinders University. His PhD was on epistemology and the role experience plays in shaping belief. In particular, Steven argued that experience is ambiguous and that there are no black and white answers to complex moral and existential issues. As Dean, he has instigated a number of partnerships with various organisations ranging from major businesses to Anglicare and the Elder Conservatorium. Currently, Steven is working on The Green Cathedral Precinct Project in conjunction with the University of Adelaide, Connell Wagner, Energy Architecture, RPSecos and neighbouring organisations in North Adelaide. Steven is interested in ethics, especially the way values influence attitudes and behaviour. In particular, he has been involved in mentoring business leaders and looking at how personal identity shapes behaviour. |
