Sessional Teaching Programs

Information and resources for tutors, demonstrators and lecturers.

Faculty-based or Discipline-specific workshops

If you are in charge of a group of tutors, demonstrators or new lecturers you may wish to use these modules in ways and combinations that suit you best, as a basis for planning workshops of 2 hour, 3-hour or full day duration.

CLPD staff will be happy to collaborate with you in developing appropriate sessions.

Self Access Modules

The modules are a self-access introduction to some basic principles of learning, teaching, assessment and evaluation. They are designed to help you in the preparation of your teaching programs. They are also a resource to return to while teaching.

There are also links to more in-depth discussions of the underlying principles. These are intended to help you work out your own approaches based on the ideas and experiences of others.

Discussion Board

There is also a Discussion Board where you may raise questions as well as contribute ideas that worked in your own experience of learning and teaching. You will need to login to MyUni using your regular login details. Other Academic Staff Development Programs

If you are a new tenurable or continuing staff member there are other face-to-face programs available for you, such as

• Graduate Certificate in Education (Higher Education) program
