Data Management & Interpretation
| Most of the MathsBridge material below will be needed for Data Management
& Interpretation. The lectures will build upon this material and extend it.
Parts of MathsBridge will be revised in lectures and tutorials to set the context
for new applications, but this will be done relatively quickly and it would be
wise to refresh your skills before Semester 2 begins.
The MathsBridge algebra and powers sections have abstract problems which will not be seen again in lectures (lectures will be mainly concerned with applications). However the skills gained from doing that section will definitely be needed. The numbers 0, 1, 2 below indicate when topics will be encountered in lectures: 0 = at the beginning of the semester, 1 = about halfway through, 2 = towards the end. |
