Most of the MathsBridge material below will be needed for Statistical Practice (Life Sciences). The lectures will build upon this material and extend it. Parts of MathsBridge will be revised in lectures and tutorials, but this will be done relatively quickly and it would be wise to refresh your skills before Semester 2 begins. The MathsBridge algebra and powers sections have abstract problems which will not be seen again in lectures (lectures will be mainly concerned with applications). However the skills gained from doing that section will definitely be needed. |
