The Maths Learning Service

The Mathematics Learning Service (MLS) was established in 1992 to help students in courses involving maths or stats. In 2002 we became part of what is now known as The Center for Learning and Professional Development (CLPD).

The MLS aims to help

• mature age students, who have perhaps not studied for many years, and are consequently "rusty",
• students who don't have all the assumed knowledge for their course,
• international or interstate students who studied a different curriculum,
• students who have fallen behind because of illness,
• new students adjusting to the skills required for university study, or
• students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
