MathsMate: Resources for Statistical Practice I (Life Sciences)

Statistical Practice 1 (Life Sciences) assumes the equivalent of SACE Stage 2 Mathematical Methods as preparation, so if you

• don’t have the assumed knowledge or
• have not studied maths for at least three years or
• just feel a bit wonky with maths,

the resources on this page can help brush up your skills. (The Mathematics Learning Service (MLS) has prepared these resources in conjunction with the subject co-ordinator.)

Use the menu bar at the end of the page to return or to contact the Maths Learning Service.

Workshop Handouts

A series of four Workshops sessions took place during Semester 1, two covering the mathematical skills you will be using in Statistical Practice I (Life Sciences) followed by two covering the statistical assumed knowledge.

The handouts from these sessions (complete with answers to exercises) are available here.
