University clients
Online Learning undertakes workshops, seminars and consultancies with various faculties and schools across the University. This includes focussing on pedagogical considerations, as well as instructional design and the use of multimedia in MyUni courses.
Recent activities and projects include:
- Developing the Dental School's undergraduate program into online format for licensing to Sharjah University, United Arab Emirates. Use of the Centre for Learning and Professional Development's (CLPD) virtual classroom for live sessions between Australia and UAE.
- Developing digital training scenarios for the Dental School tutors and postgraduate students
- Enhancing the Mekong e-Sim, an online roleplay simulation run by the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering
- Developing Disaster Down Under, a online roleplay simulation which incorporates scenario-based learning and a virtual classroom, in conjunction with the Burns Unit, Clinical Nursing and The Performance Group, Minnesota
- Developing Grief and Palliative Care, a postgraduate course for both oncampus and distance learners, into online format
- Interactive online formatting of Online Academic Skills modules for Academic Learning and Language within the CLPD
- Developing an online plagiarism quiz for the School of Politics
- Piloting of Moodle, an open source learning management system with Radio Adelaide for community education and training purposes
- Developing an online postgraduate Nursing and Medical Science in Anaesthesia and Recovery program for Clinical Nursing
- Developing four interactive online modules for the Adelaide Graduate Centre's Integrated Bridging Program for international research students including Plagiarism, Reviewing Literature, Research Proposal, Thesis Writing
- Developing online grammar modules for the School of Mechanical Engineering
- Development of Planning & Development Review into online format for Organisational and Professional Development, CLPD
- Piloting of 'Jaw Reconstructive Surgery' into online format as part of the postgraduate Oral and Maxillofacial Dentistry course
