Internal Peer Review Team member professional development resources
Below are links to four sample videoclips of classroom teaching. These can be used either as professional development resources and practice observations for Internal Peer Review Team members, or as models for developing your own library of video resources.
This lecture is built around the use of information technology: specifically, an online teaching tool (eMedici) which is already familiar to the students. The eMedici software is used to facilitate a differential diagnosis, and students are challenged to support their hypotheses using their knowledge of the human digestive system.

This class, for English as a Second Language students, focuses on the task of constructing a bibliography. It is designed to move from teacher-centred to student-centred learning across the course of two hours. Held in a resource-poor classroom, it uses inauthentic and authentic materials (handouts, and real books and journals) to build and challenge students' skills, and to encourage student participation and communication.
Lecturer: Dr Lucy Potter

In this first-year laboratory session, students are working ahead of a parallel series of lectures. They are encouraged to attempt laboratory tasks using their existing knowledge and then consult with the lecturer and demonstrators, and build understanding from a combination of direct instruction and their own attempts.
