The First Year Experience Project

This report was prepared by Ninette Ellis for The University of Adelaide, Learning and Teaching Development Unit, Student Development Program.

This report summarises the issues relating to students difficulties in their transition from school to university and outlines the steps that seven major Australian universities have taken to address the problems. Recommendations are made for the University of Adelaide First Year Experience (FYE).
