Synthesise, analyse and apply information / data to fill recognised knowledge gaps.

Gaps in knowledge, identified by lecturers or stated explicitly in the literature are frequently the motivation to embark on inquiry at Level IV, and all the facets of research synergise to fill these gaps. However Facet E, 'synthesise, analyse and apply', recogises explicitly the processes that are afoot to achieve this gap filling.
