He's been a member since 1977, but his association with the Club goes back a bit further than that. Alan enjoyed reciprocal membership from 1968-1977 as a member of the Flinders University Staff Club; he also claims that he has fond memories of attending a rather formal lunch at the original University of Adelaide Club building in 1961, with a group of Library Association of Australia committee people. Hmm...
Besides maintaining the Club's website in his spare time, Alan is a Research Librarian at the Barr Smith Library where he has responsibility for the provision of library and information services to staff and students in the subject areas of French, Linguistics, Media and Philosophy. Alan also has responsibility for the Library's guides for Library users, and Library publications, both web-based and printed.
