Research

The Centre for Coastal Research (CCR) conducts fundamental and applied research in the areas of coastal science uptake in coastal policy, the application of integrated coastal management (ICM), climate change adaptation on the coast, marine protected areas, coastal and marine natural resource management (NRM) community engagement, and environmental history.  Research funding for CCR projects comes from a mixture of nationally competitive grants, industry-linked funding and state and local government supported research.

The CCR provides research-training opportunities at the postgraduate level particularly in the areas of integrated coastal management, coastal adaptation to climate change, coastal geomorphology and applied coastal research.  Currently there are six PhD and two Masters students being supervised within the CCR.
