Coastal zone management and social learning in South Australia
Principal Investigator: Nursey-Bray
This project investigates the role of social learning and the links between learning and policy in a South Australian context. To date a number of CEOs have been interviewed for this project and results collated into a paper presented at the NSW Coastal Management conference. A previous paper by Nursey-Bray and Harvey developed a typology of learning for coastal management focussing on differences between Indigenous and Western-learning systems. That paper was presented to an International Conference on Coastal Zone management and subsequently published as a book chapter.
Based on this research Nursey-Bray, Smith and Harvey have a paper (in press) on communities of practice in the journal Regional Environmental Change.
