JUSTIN CAMPAGNARO, Owner SixbornJustin has always had a passion for fashion. With a father as an Italian tailor and a mother who sewed all their clothes you can understand why. After many trips to Italy, he would window shop for hours gazing at expensive labels such as Valentino, Gucci and Armani and he knew that one day he would start his own fashion line. It was in 1992 at the age of 21, when Justin returned from one of his many trips that he decided to put on hold his Degree in Commerce and enrol in a Diploma in Fashion Design at TAFE. After completing his Diploma Justin found it a challenge to get work in the fashion industry due to high competition. Justin continued to pursue his fashion career and it was then, in 1999 he partnered with Paola Coro to launch their own clothes label "Citizens of the World', catering in denim jeans, funky shirts, t-shirts and tops from local and imported fabrics. However, Justin has always had the dream to have his own fashion label, so it was in 2004 Sixborn was created. At Sixborn, Justin individually measures and fits each client and uses wonderful fabrics, including Italian Cashmere. "It gives people the opportunity to be creative, to express their individuality and make a statement about who they are. This is what Sixborn is all about." |

TESSA HENWOOD-MITCHELL, Founder of TIA International AidSince a young age, 24-year-old Tessa Henwood-Mitchell has been very passionate about aid work, equality and human rights. After finishing school, she volunteered in South Africa and Kenya, which strengthened her resolve to work in the international development sector. In 2008 when she was just 20, Tessa went to Bolivia, South America, to volunteer at an orphanage for 4 months with Projects Abroad as part of her degree in Social Work and International Studies at UniSA. After this time and seeing the lack of funds, resources, and opportunities available to the children she'd been working with, she couldn't turn away and do nothing more to help, and so she made the decision to set up Tia International Aid to raise funds and implement development projects with the Bolivian population, focussing on creating change and opportunity for children and young people. Now over 3 years later, Tessa is still working extremely hard raising funds to support the numerous development projects TIA is now working on in Bolivia, and is leading a volunteer team of 30+ passionate people who have come on board in Australian and Bolivia to achieve TIA's goals, whilst also completing the final year of her double degree. |
