Get Involved | Volunteering

The University of Adelaide actively encourages and promotes the culture of volunteering. The University stands for excellence and our volunteers feel pride in their involvement with us. We aim to create an environment that fosters and encourages volunteer satisfaction, including learning new skills, and making professional and social contacts.

Whether you are a former or current staff member, student or the public, we invite you to join our growing community of volunteers who make a real difference to this University.

Please see the University of Adelaides Volunteering website for further details and information.

The Office for Community Engagement

Various volunteer roles are offered through our office in different capacities, please see below for details.

WRED | Western Region Enterprise Day

WRED is held in September each year for up 100 primary and 100 secondary students who come from the Council areas of Port Adelaide Enfield, Charles Sturt and West Torrens. Students learn about the basics of business and business marketing from our inspiring Presenters. Our Presenters and Facilitators have such a fun experience with the attending students while generously giving up their time to help with workshops throughout the day.

NRED | Northern Region Enterprise Day

The Northern Region Enterprise Day is held in July each year at the Roseworthy campus and provides an opportunity for secondary school students to learn about the basics of creating and running a business enterprise. Students are given a real insight into business with the help of inspiring business entrepreneurs who will share their personal success stories. Our facilitators and Presenters help the day run smoothly while providing great insight for the attending students.
