The key to Adelaide Compass's success will be that it is built upon strong and sustainable partnerships. Our aim is to be available offering support, activities, resources and advice from now well into the future. We are not a ‘fly- in fly-out' program that gains brownie points one year and is gone the next. We are here for the long haul, we have to be - we're starting with some Year 1 students! We believe our partners believe in the same principles.
University of Sydney
Adelaide Compass is very lucky to have the University of Sydney as one of its key partners. Adelaide Compass is an extension of the University of Sydney's hugely successful Compass - find your way to higher education Program and is based on its key principles and practices. An agreement to work together to implement Adelaide Compass was signed by both uni
versities at Mark Oliphant College, the Program's pilot school, in February of this year.
Having been delivered since 2009 in Sydney, Adelaide Compass is happy to work with the Sydney team - learning from their experiences, picking up on their great ideas and adjusting them to suit our schools and their circumstances. We're great believers in not reinventing the wheel! The two universities will share research, data and results to be able to evaluate and further develop their programs.
