Volunteers

Without the commitment and enthusiasm of our group of University of Adelaide Student Volunteers there would not be an Adelaide Compass Program. Our volunteers are all part of the University's Student Leadership Certificate Program (SLCP) and have been through a comprehensive selection and training program. They also attend additional units of training specifically for the Compass Program.

Commitment to the Compass Program can vary, depending on your study, work and social commitments. We are very lucky in that several of our volunteers are able to offer a whole day a week to the program and this allows us to provide significant resources and assistance to our partner schools and their students. Whilst this amount of commitment is fantastic there are also opportunities to assist in the program to a lesser degree, perhaps simply helping out when there are primary school groups coming on to campus.

Training is provided free of charge and transport to schools to conduct activities is either provided by the Compass team or is reimbursed.
