Student Testimonial

“In the very first meeting, the counsellor was instrumental in the formulation of a result that allowed me to successfully complete the semester. Without this, I would have been obliged to withdraw from study. This result had been missed for 19 years by psychologists with whom I had spent a small fortune.”

How to find us

The Counselling Service is located on the Ground Floor in the Horace Lamb Building on the North Terrace Campus [Map Reference: G9].

If you're approaching from Victoria Drive (enter via Gate 9), go south past the Barr Smith lawns using the driveway/walkway on the south-eastern side of the lawns. Pass the back entrance of the Barr Smith Library and then enter the next building on your right. This is the Horace Lamb Building and the Counselling and Disability Service is the first door on your right.

If you’re approaching from North Terrace, go north along the road between the Art Gallery and the University (enter via Gate 20) and pass the buildings on the right until you reach Hughes Plaza. When you reach the Plaza, move diagonally across the Plaza to its north-east corner and enter the double doors to the Plaza Building. Head down the stairs all the way to the bottom (three flights of stairs) and follow the walkway past the garden and around to the right. The Counselling and Disability Service is on your left.

How to find us if you have a physical disability that prevents you from using stairs

The best way is to follow the directions from Victoria Drive.

However, if you’re coming from North Terrace, go north along the road between the Art Gallery and the University (enter via Gate 20) and pass the buildings on the right until you reach Hughes Plaza. When you reach the Plaza, move diagonally across the Plaza to its north-east corner and follow the path around the Plaza Building. Take the lift to ground level and turn right. The next entrance on your left is to the Horace Lamb building and once you’ve gone in, we are on your right.
