| Course Description | Statics : electrostatics (Coulomb/Gauss laws, electric scalar etc); magnetostatics (fields in vacuum, magnetic material, circuits) Electromagnetic Induction: time-varying electromagnetic fields, machines and transformers (DC gen/motor, ideal transformer, 3ph induction motor) Maxwell's Equations and Electromagnetic Waves : Maxwell's equations, transmission lines, skin effect, uniform plane waves, reflection and refraction Practical Aspects: antennas (transmit/receive, dipole, directivity) and applications (attenuation, propagation) |
