| Course Description | Poverty and inequality are two of the most challenging features of the contemporary world. This course aims to explore the nature of poverty; its dimensions, the experiences of it, and theories of its causes. The course will also illuminate and examine some of the potential solutions posed for poverty, particularly those that centre on ideas of ‘social development’. This course will ask students to think deeply and critically about the nature of poverty and inequality. |
