| Course Description | This course follows Applied Project Management 1 in the Master of Applied Project Management. The course is designed to serve as a toolkit for learners to advance their careers in project management and build on knowledge gained in APM1. It covers the management techniques and tools required to achieve outcomes on projects in each of the areas of scope, time, cost, quality, risk, procurement, human resources and communication. The primary focus is on developing the skills of course participants to readily apply the tools and techniques learned in the class in managing the real life projects. Attention is placed on discussing the `why to use¿ and `how to use¿ aspects of the tools and techniques described in PMBOK, as well as tools outside of the PMBOK framework. The course follows the PMBOK knowledge areas structure to complement the learning gained in Applied Project Management 1. |
