| Course Description | This course aims to provide an understanding of civil litigation practice to enable you to conduct a civil litigation file as an entry level lawyer. This course is not designed as a refresher course in civil litigation rather it builds on academic knowledge in a practical setting. Topics include: assessing the merits of a case and identifying the dispute resolution alternatives; initiating and responding to claims; taking and responding to interlocutory and default proceedings; gathering and presenting evidence; negotiating settlements and enforcing orders and settlement agreements. The course is offered in partnership with South Australian practitioners. |
