Course Description  Quantitative analysis of kinetics, thermodynamics and equilibria; Nernst equation; balancing redox equations under basic conditions; transition metal and coordination chemistry; quantum theory; spectroscopy/structure determination (UV, IR, 1H NMR); stereochemistry; organic mechanism (electrophilic addition to alkenes, SN1 and SN2 reactions, electrophilic aromatic substitution).
