    Course Learning Outcomes
    The objectives of this course are to:
    1. Develop musical performance skills that display accuracy, fluency, advanced technical skills and a mature expressive sense along with a strong conceptual and interpretative understanding in a small ensemble setting
    2. Develop effective teamwork and communication skills and an ability to apply creative and innovative solutions cooperatively.
    3. Develop critical understanding of own and others’ musical performances whilst demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards of professional endeavour.

    Required Resources

    Scores of repertoire prescribed by Ensemble Director (Elder Music
    Library houses an excellent collection of scores available for loan to
    students). Original music must be used for examinations.A selection of mallets suitable for use on the various percussion instruments.Metronome, tuner, pencil & eraser, ear plugs - as needed

    Regular listening to a variety of performances is recommended. Students can listen to works through the library's Naxos subscription (see library catalogue, search using Naxos as the title and limit search to ‘electronic resources’. You will be prompted to enter your uni ID number and password to access the Naxos catalogue). There is a wealth of material available for listening (but not downloading).
