Creative Economy:
Investigating South Australia’s Creative Industries
Creative industries not only contribute to the cultural and social capital of a society, but also are an increasingly important source of economic value, through the creation of employment, expenditure and income generation, and the flow-on effects to other industries.
The University of Adelaide is currently conducting a three-year research study entitled Creative Economy: Investigating South Australia’s Creative Industries. The study will conceptually define and statistically map the features of companies, organisations and individuals across the creative industries in South Australia; examining industry structure, business turnover, employment size, inter and intra industry linkages, as well as assessing the potential for growth of the creative industries in South Australia.
The study is funded as part of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Program, with financial and in-kind support from key industry partners.
This website is a resource and communication tool for those involved and interested in creative industries in South Australia. It presents more details about our project, in addition to providing a portal for news and information about research and policy developments relating to the creative sector.
