The University of Adelaide’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree is an internationally recognised qualification. Many leading companies now demand an MBA as a basic requirement for senior management positions.
Completion of a rigorous MBA degree testifies to your ability to map out a course of action and see it through. It equips you with valuable life-long skills in critical thinking, leadership, understanding behaviour and analysis that are useful beyond the workplace.
Trimesters and Fast-Tracking
Each course (subject) is delivered over a 12-week trimester, allowing student to condense studies into a shorter period of time. It is possible to fast-track and complete the 12-course MBA within one year. There are 3 trimesters in each academic year.
After Hours Teaching
Most classes are scheduled to accommodate full-time working professionals. Classes are generally held on weeknights, with one 3-hour teaching block per week. Some courses are delivered fornightly on Saturdays, in a 6-hour teaching block.
Intensive Courses
Several courses are offered in intensive mode. Classes are generally held over a Friday evening and Saturday morning, 3 times per trimester. Alternatively, they may be offered in 3 x 2 day blocks.
The assessment for courses is generally an individual assignment, a group assignment and an examination. In some courses there is an assessment component of class participation. Students must pass all pieces of assessment in order to pass a course.

The MBA aims to provide students with a solid grounding in academic disciplines relevant to management. Students will acquire the conceptual and analytical abilities they need to make and carry out decisions at a senior managerial level.

Business School Graduate Attributes
The School is currently in the pre-accreditation phase of the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Business Schools (AACSB).
Students are able to undertake an internship where they work within an organisation 1 day per week for 12 weeks in an unpaid role. Internships provide work experience and work skills.
