The Graduate Certificate in Education is designed for teachers, trainers, educational consultants or any domestic or international student wishing to study Education at a postgraduate level.

To qualify for the Graduate Certificate in Education a candidate shall successfully complete courses to the value of 12 units:

either
EDUC 6550    Educational Policy Studies (3 units)
EDUC 6551    Curriculum Development and Innovation (3 units)
EDUC 6552    Pedagogical Engagement and Learning (3 units)
EDUC 6553    Assessing Testing and Measurement (3 units)

OR
12 units of courses from the suite of courses listed below.  The suite should be selected as a whole unless approval is gained from the Head of School or nominee.

6. Discipline courses
Up to 9 units of courses from any discipline studies deemed to be appropriate in Mathematics, Science, Agricultural Science, Information Technology, Languages, History, Geography, Psychology, English, ESL, Music and Business, plus 3 units of study in the field of the discipline courses.

Master of Education

Provides advanced career options for trainers across various industries e.g. police, nursing or business; to teach in higher education including the TAFE and university sectors; education consultants; and/or to enhance exisiting qualifications as a teacher.
