This program trains students in how to address environmental issues such as the greenhouse effect, ozone layer depletion, the use of pesticides and air, water and soil pollution using core training in chemistry. Students are introduced to emerging areas including ‘green’ (environmentally benign) chemistry and the environmental implications of traditional and modern chemical industries.
Varies with individual courses and includes a combination of assignments, presentations, practical work, tutorial work and exams.
